Solutions Specialist -- PERM & FT

The Mergis Group has the following requirement:

Up to FIVE (5) SOLUTIONS SPECIALISTS

Location: On site with client in the Kitchener-Waterloo area

Role: You will be a key player in a highly talented team of engineers
dedicated to developing and providing technical support and post-sales
implementation for world-class solutions for the test and management
of next generation IT infrastructures (servers, networks and
applications). You will use your knowledge in network, system and
application technologies to implement innovative management solutions
for the customers.
The test and management software “solution” has been implemented in
some areas of the end client’s technology but there is always
developing so implementation will be part of the role along with
maintenance/administration and support.

Qualifications:
• 3 years experience in a similar position
• Experience with Network Security and Security products
• TCP/IP and SNMP experience
• Background in networks, systems, and applications
• Solid software design and implementation skills and specific
experience with Java, J2ME, J2EE, C, C++ (junior level experience –
flexibility with this requirement)
• Experience scripting in any of the following essential: Perl/
Tcl, Expect, Solaris
• Strong UNIX and Linux knowledge
• System administration experience
• Relational database experience
• A BSEE/BSCE or Engineering Technician/Technologist diploma
is required
• Ability to travel to customer sites
• Possess strong investigative/analytical skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication
skills
• Strong team player
