Job Title: Manager – Business System Advisory Services;
(IFRS) International Financial Reporting Standard Conversion Services

Location: Toronto, ON (Downtown Toronto)
Hours: Normal business hours
Type: Permanent, Full time position
Salary: $100K to $120K

Overview:
Our client’s Advisory Services help companies leverage change. Using
software functionality effectively, their Business Systems Advisory
group combines deep business, finance, and accounting experience with
extensive knowledge in application governance, risks and controls,
technical configuration and security, system implementation life-
cycle, regulatory compliance mandates, and GAAP conversion to
International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS).

Experiencing exceptional growth related to IFRS conversion and its IT
systems impact, they need a Manager to provide support and assistance
with the management and delivery of IT aspects of IFRS conversions to
clients in the Toronto office. Key to this role is industry
experience, combined with strong technical skills and resourcefulness
to help the organizations clients move forward.

Responsibilities:
-Assessing the (IFRS) International Financial Reporting Standards
conversion impact on business processes and financial systems such as
SAP, Oracle, consolidation systems (Hyperion, SAP BCS, Business
Objects), and business intelligence.
-Assisting the client through the design and implementation stages of
the IFRS conversion involving modifications to data gathering,
consolidation and reporting processes.
-Analyzing the IFRS conversion impact on internal controls and
assisting the client with design and development of revised and/or
additional internal controls processes.
-Translation of technical enterprise applications knowledge into
functional business terminology and vice versa.
-Designing high quality modifications/enhancements to meet functional
requirements.
-Creating complex conceptual designs, including application
interfaces.
-Planning, managing and delivering IFRS conversion projects, business
validation support and integration testing.

Requirements:
-Excellent communications and interpersonal skills are required for
this role
-A Degree in a related discipline; MBA, CA, CMA or CGA would be an
asset.
-Strong experience and a background in Financial Accounting is
required for this role.
-More than 8 years experience within business systems advisory.
-More than 5 years systems implementation and IFRS conversion
experience.
-Must have ERP experience such as SAP or Oracle.
-Demonstrated ability to interpret information such as internal and
external financial reporting.
-Strong understanding of the data flow and functionalities within SAP
or Oracle systems.
-Strong experience in testing and production delivery.
-Strong experience in functional and technical specification
development.
-Analytical skills in formulating business strategy and interpreting
information.
-Strong project management experience.
-Solid client management and facilitation experience.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Strong relationship building & problem solving abilities.
