Information Technology Recruiter
(6 Months contract - 3 days/week)
· Main Purpose of the Position
Provide value-added recruiting services to the management team with the goal
of recruiting talented Information Technology professionals.
· Key Responsibilities
a.. Assist in the development and implementation of an end-to-end
recruiting strategy (both internal and external).
b.. Design and implement new recruiting programs/initiatives/processes to
support the company in realizing its staffing objectives
c.. Coach and educate the management team on effective recruitment
processes
d.. Conduct candidate pre-screening and selection using interviewing
techniques such as behavioural based interviewing
e.. Ensure that all hiring activities adhere to appropriate legislation
f.. Manage and maintain recruiting records which comply with applicable
privacy laws
g.. Develop positive working relations with staff at all levels as well as
with recruitment vendors
h.. Conduct candidate reference checks
i.. Conduct new hire orientation
j.. Identify and implement initiatives to reduce recruitment costs
k.. Assist the HR Consultant with other HR related projects

· Knowledge and Skill Requirements
a.. Minimum of 4 years experience as a Corporate IT Recruiter
b.. A good understanding and appreciation for very technical environments
c.. Past success in developing and implementing recruitment
processes/programs
d.. Experience using innovative and traditional techniques to acquire
talented IT professionals
e.. Knowledge of market trends within IT
f.. Bachelors Degree
g.. CHRP designation would be considered an asset
