Location: Mississauga (Streetsville)
Rate per hour: $38
Description:
Architects new enterprise wide storage solutions (data backup and on-
line storage) and services into production.
Works with sales team to respond to Requests for Information and
Request for Quote. Develops either custom or applies standard solution
to meet needs of customer.
Provides consulting to customers who are seeking to obtain more
information about storage services and solutions offered by Managed
Services.
Provides technical leadership and mentoring to other storage experts
in the organization.
Works with marketing and engineering to develop new service offerings.
Implements technical solutions (either by working through others, or
performing the technical task yourself)
Problem Management - develops action plans, corrects root cause of
technical problems, and leads escalations.
Change Management - Oversees planned changes that are complex in
nature.
Manages process improvement and cost reduction projects.
Develops value propositions, which includes preparing a business case
(financial and quality improvement) analysis.
Utilizes TQM methodology to drive increased service levels. Must be
able to use metrics to demonstrate quality improvement, or efficiency
gains achieved.
Requirements:
A BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering,
Business Management.
At least 8 years' track record in consulting/IT management
Must possess Master level knowledge in one these areas:
Storage Management/Development
Business Management
Storage Management Skills:
SAN Technologies
Brocade Switches
XP 1024, 12000, IBM Shark DS8xxx
Storage management software (i.e. Storage Essentials, Command Central,
TPC, etc.)
Local & Remote replication - BC/CA, Flashcopy
Experience working in HA/Clustered environments using MPIO,
SecurePath, Veritas DMP, SDD, etc.
